I know by the time I went through 3 'cheap' yoga mats, they still weren't able to hang with just 1 prana matt. If you are a beginner, I would recommend you go with a slightly more cheaper mat, however if you are a dedicated yoga practitioner, it makes more sense to invest in a slightly more expensive one simply because they last much much longer.
